To put a end to the countless calls, emails, text messages and other forms of communication that Lecresia Campbell funeral and remains was not in Atlanta!  It was out of respect for the deceased and the family that I did not show the photos of the remains.  However, since my integrity was questioned I feel the need to end the rumors.  Lecresia Campbell funeral and burial was in Atlanta Friday Night and she was buried Saturday Morning.  

We were told that it was a casket at the church in Chicago, but it was clearly empty because she was already laid to rest while the Chicago Memorial Service was taking place.  Death brings out the best and worst in people so young and old put your final wishes in writing.  It is so sad that an individual’s death has to be overshadowed by rumors and gossip.

Additionally, family members if you was estranged from a person during their life do not jump up and make decisions that you know they would have not been pleased with in their death.  Far to often people pass away that was not in fellowship with thief biological family and in their death they step in and call shots that directly contradict what the deceased would have been pleased with in life.  Let this be a lesson to all of us to get our business in order!

Obnoxious Breaking News!  Thomas TC Clay has died.

Unfortunate news to share as gospel singer Thomas TC Clay was found dead this weekend in his hotel room in New York by his manager.

The cause of death is unknown, but his industry friends have taken to social media to confirm his passing. Pastor Jason Nelson, in particular, went live on Facebook to dispel rumors surrounding the sad loss.

Biography

When someone witnesses Thomas Clay’s onstage energy, musical clarity and sheer passion, they find it hard to believe he has been musically serving Christ for only a few short years. Obnoxious Breaking News!  Rumors are flying all over Atlanta this morning that Bishop Eddie Long has died.  Not even a week after he declared that The Lord healed him and had a alter call for New Birth members that were in attendance and suffer with illness and pain to come down for prayer.

Five hours ago his oldest son posted a cryptic message on his social media accounts that reads…”No matter what they say about you, keep your head up!” Along with the Psalm 121. 

It is hard to believe that last week possibly would be his last time standing behind his pulpit.  An awesome blessing for the members in attendance to have gotten the final importation from their beloved leader.  

Obnoxious Media has yet to receive official confirmation, but very reliable sources close to the family and New Birth staff are saying it is true.  It was here on ObnoxiousTelevision.com blog the world learned that he was deathly ill first and confirmed by him and his staff just 48 hours later.

The church especially the so called Black Church is full of a bunch of hypocritical liars. You all make patently of excuses for these low down ass lying sleaze bags you all call your pastors and bishops, but because you have a man that is brave enough to live and walk in his truth you have such a huge problem. Countless times Obnoxious Media have exposed a number of low down men that have molested children to Jamal Harrison Bryant’s bastard son to Brian Carn quoting  a witch word for word and you all still make excues for him. However, all of you sucking dick and eating ass Pineapple Juice Drinkers (Obnoxious term for on the Down Low) have a problem with the incredible performance of Anthony Williams, formaly know as Tonex because he was brave enough to be honest about the very behavior over 80% percent of the men in the Gospel Music Industy activly participate in behind closed doors.

So now you have a problem with his performance just like you have a problem with my blog and calling the fakes and phonies. The church is a joke! If it was Kirk Franklin porn loving ass it would have been okay or Wes Morgan who is an admitted dope addict that had a bastard baby by whore he left his wife for and married it would hve been alright. However, you all get so caught up over a man that is walking in his truth. It was pathetic to see social media go up in a blaze, by a number of people that have made excues for other behaviors and sins that you like.

Hats for to the Prince, Micheal Jackson, with a little of James Brown, of Gospel for his amazing performance. Stop making excuses  for the stuff and people you like and damn others to Hell that openly do things you openly condemn while privately condone and actively participate. In closing he wore a hat inside the church so what when you all have sex and do all kind of things that descrate these so call Houses of God.

Just a few days ago, The Dream Team honored Kurt Carr and Lynette Hawkins-Stephens for their contributions to gospel music. The evenings musical tribute was held at the famed Love Center Ministries (Oakland, CA), and drew artist and peers from around the country to join in the celebration. B. Slade (formerly known as Tonex) is no stranger to the Bay Area, and does not hesitate to show up and support whenever called.

The comments took off like wild-fire as his tribute selection of “There’s A War Going On” for Lynette Hawkins-Stephens began streaming online. The comments picked apart everything from attire, movement on stage, his hat, and even his presence.
He later returned to Love Center the following morning for Sunday service, admitting it was the first time he’s been in Sunday Morning Worship in 7 years.

Obnoxious Breaking News!  Bishop Frank Orha White will not seek re-election to the Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) General Board!

With his family surrounding him and tears in his eyes Bishop Frank Orha White told his congregation that he has Cancer of the Prostate and had began treatment.  He made it clear it was not his heart.  During his remarks he informed his members he was diagnosed 16 years ago and the cancer had returned.  

Bishop White said he would ask his son to deliver his letter requesting to be emeritized.  His son was reluctant to even want to attend the convocation without his father.

With this huge announcement there are now two open seats on the General Board!  Who will be the two men to get elected next week?

Obnoxious Politics!  Huge upset Donald Trump wins Presidential Election!

Obnoxious Breaking News!  During the 109th Holy Convocation of the Church Of a God In Christ (COGIC) Day Service in St. Louis, Missouri, Bishop John Drew SHEARD Collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.  

While praying during the closing of his sermon it was obvious that Drew became extremely disoriented and speech became slurred.  Shortly after he collapsed on the pulpit and preachers began to rush the platform to come to his aid.  Members of the Obnoxious Street Committee say he was rushed out with medical attention.  It is still not clear what actually happened to Drew, but some of the Saints say he appeared to have suffered a stroke.

Obnoxious Media is not certain what actually happened, but our thoughts and prayers are certainly with Drew and his family at this time.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Well it is Official Day of the 109th Holy Convocation of the Church Of God In Christ and then tomorrow night the General Assembly will meet and hear from the the candidates seeking re-election and men that want a seat on the coveted General Board.  Last week we experienced one of the biggest election upsets in the history of American History.  It remains to be seen it the same type of upset will be reflected in the the leadership of the Church Of God In Christ.

Sixteen years ago my beloved Bishop Chandler David Owens made history as the first Presiding Bishop to be unseated.  For the rest of my life I will remember the agony of that defeat.  Not one day from that one until the day he died Bishop Owens talked about the night he lost the church and all those that truned against him.  Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson, his best friend and the Godfather to his children truned against and took the church.  Well, it remains to be seen if Drew SHEARD has the power and support to unseat BLAKE!  

Perhaps it is all rumor and talk or it might be some truth to it.  The fact is we will know in just about 48 hours.  Hard to think the man that has built the largest church and jurisdiction in the history of the Church Of God In Christ might be vulnerable enough to loose an election.  Two years of a horrible attack via social media may prove to be to much to overcome and the issue at the church in LA, Pacific Mt. Olive prove to be to much to overcome.  Although, Blake won in court it has not been enough to stop his chief enemy.  Interesting enough that BLAKE has not been beloved enough by the men in his church for them to intervene on his behalf instead that have sat back and watched him be humiliated.

Bishop Joel Harley Lyles is facing some serious opposition.  Will he and his assistant Swan be removed.  Plus who is actually supplying information to fuel the social media attack?  Obnoxious knows and want you to keep reading for the great reveal soon and very soon!

Moved to walk the aisles at a jammed packed Cathedral of Faith Church Of God In Christ she sang and gave her powerful testimony of  loosing her daughter and mistakes with men.  The Lord used Shun to put all in attendance under arrest to get it together because Jesus is soon to come.

We are sad to inform you of the death, at age 80, of legendary Gospel great, Joe Ligon, founder and lead singer of The Mighty Clouds of Joy. Under Ligon’s leadership, The Mighty Clouds took Gospel music to a new level of popularity and accessibility, incorporating R&B musical influences and delivering a more contemporary style that allowed the group to reach incredible heights of popularity, while also spreading the Word.  It remains to be seen if the truth will come out in his death that never seemed to have been revealed during his life.  However, according to Rev. CL Franklin’s former organist that is not now a prominent bishop and pastor in Atlanta, Wille Joe Ligon is Aretha Franklin’s half brother.  The dear bishop was discussing this good old back in the day gossip in his office after service when the word was getting out of his passing.  Only time will tell if the truth will come out.  Death has a way of bringing out the best and the worst in people.

We are heartbroken to share the news that the World’s Greatest Male Gospel Singer – Willie Joe Ligon, Founder and Lead Singer of the three time Grammy Award winning group – The Mighty Clouds of Joy of Los Angeles, California passed away today Sunday, December 11, 2016.
Joe was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Mentor, and Friend to so many who loved him dearly.
As much as Joe cherished his privacy, he always appreciated the expressions of good will from people around the world and from all walks of life.
While we mourn the loss of a very good and humble man, we also celebrate his remarkable life as one of the most successful artists in Gospel Music History and hope that it serves as an example to young people around the world to work hard to make their dreams come true, to be willing to explore and push the limits, and to selflessly serve a cause greater than themselves.
For those who may ask what they can do to honor Joe, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a stormy day think of Joe and get comfort in knowing that he is no longer in the storm.
Additional information about the final arrangements will be released to the General Public pending Mr. Ligon’s Family’s approval.
We kindly ask everyone to please respect the Family’s privacy during this time of bereavement.

Joe Ligon & The Mighty Clouds of Joy
The Alabama-born Ligon traveled to Los Angeles as a teen and ultimately teamed with an immensely talented group of singers to create The Mighty Clouds of Joy in 1960. Included in the original lineup were Ligon, Johnny Martin, Ermant Franklin Jr., Artis Turnbough, Elmo Franklin, Richard Wallace, Leon Polk, and David Walker. 
Beginning with their 1960 hit “Steal Away to Jesus,” the Mighty Clouds blazed a trail that few before them had, especially stylistically. They began as a Gospel act only, and they charted more than two dozen albums on the Gospel charts, most hitting the Top 10. But the Mighty Clouds took their expansive sound to chart on the Pop, Soul and Disco charts. Among their biggest hits were “Time,” and “Mighty Cloud of Joy,” and “Ride the Mighty High.” In the process, they broke down barrier after barrier that had limited what faith-filled music could be. And, whatever the style, the songs were made that much better by Joe Ligon’s incredibly powerful lead vocals.
Many of Gospels all-time great groups, from the Winans to Commissioned, were aided by the barriers broken down by Joe Ligon and the Mighty Clouds in the 1970s, and both Soul and Gospel music have been incredibly influenced and blessed by Joe Ligon’s pioneering work. He will be missed and he will be celebrated for years to come.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Well, just when I thought I was going to be able to take a break for the holidays all Hell breaks out.  My Obnoxious Street Committee does not play and they are taking us to Philadelphia.  Talking about the City of Brotherly Love does not have anything on so-called Prophetess Chyna L. Davis.  According to photos someone actually consecrated this man as an Apostle.  Not sure how everyone including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck is a Bishop and Apostle these days.

Now this story is almost like deja vu to a story reported here on Obnoxious two years ago when we discovered that a minister of music was actually a cross dressing prostitute by night.  Born Joseph Levern Brunson from South Carolina was busted for being a male prostitute.  The story is still somewhat vague, but at some point Mr. Brunson stopped hoeing and took his hustle to the church.  Since anything goes in church now it was not hard for this imposter to lie on God.  Anyone looking and him could tell he was a man, but I guess they just thought he was a ugly woman.  

All joking aside it is actually sad that church is becoming a complete mockery where this poor excuse for a drag queen would pass himself off as a female evangelist.  His of her prophetic gift did not allow him to see he was going to be exposed.  If is our understanding at Obnoxious Media that Chyna L. Davis had taken this scam to mainstream churches and was not honest and preaching at alternative places of worship.  This story would still have been just as disgusting, but a little more tolerable.  Now this MAN wants to lie on God, excuse me continue to lie on God rather then come clean.  Joseph at best is a liar no matter how he tries to twist it to make his charade legit.

From what we have been able to determine Kirby Gant busted him and exposed it on Facebook and was bold enough to tag him on the post.  At least he was honest and talked about Joseph in his or her face rather then behind his back, which is so Obnoxious of him.  One member of my Obnoxious Street Committee even said this man had the nerve to preach at Women Conferences!  Joseph when on Facebook Live mad talking about he was going to kill this spirit, but not taking responsibility for being a liar and an imposter.  He even when as far to say that he was born with male and female organs, but he was booked in jail as a man and his ID says he is a man.  Enough with the lies dude you have been busted and thought you could make more money hustling the Saints than turning tricks!

Obnoxious Politics! Our girl is going back to The White House!  Congratulations Omarosa! The Boston Globe wasn’t terribly far off with its satirical prediction that Donald Trump would name Apprentice contestant Omarosa Manigault as education secretary. Manigault is expected to nab a job in Trump’s White House focusing on public engagement, sources tell the AP. A member of the transition team’s executive committee, Manigault had initially hoped to be named ambassador to Haiti, a transition official tells ABC News.

Manigault, 42, actually has more political experience than many others Trump has asked to join his team. She served as director of African-American outreach during Trump’s campaign and previously worked in Vice President Al Gore’s office during President Bill Clinton’s administration.
Obnoxious Media has reached out to Omarosa and encouraged her to recommend an invitation for Kim Burrell to sing for Donald Trump’s inauguration this month. Since Ellen disinvited her let the President Trump put her on a world stage since he has no issue speaking his mind and standing firm on his convictions!

The FX series’ creator and star Donald Glover gave a shout-out to the ATL upon accepting the award for Best Television Series Comedy or Musical. He later picked up his own trophy for Best Actor In A Comedy Series.

“I really want to thank Atlanta and all the black folks in Atlanta, just for being alive, just for being amazing people,” he said. “I couldn’t be here without Atlanta.”
The show is about cousins played by Glover and Brian Tyree Henry who are part of the Atlanta music scene. The season finale, as my colleague Rodney Ho reported, was quite compelling: “Glover leaves it all ambiguous. It’s neither a happy season ending nor a sad one. Nor is it a cliffhanger of any sort. It’s quiet and contemplative. It does allow him to start season 2 anywhere he wants.”

Former President Bill Clinton and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton were warmly embraced at Sunday’s Broadway performance of “A Color Purple.

The crowd eagerly applauded, giving Hillary Clinton numerous standing ovations, when they weren’t documenting the moment on Twitter.
 It was stark departure from the reception Vice President-elect Mike Pence received when he attended a performance of the Broadway hit “Hamilton” recently. The crowd booed at times and following the performance, actor Brandon Victor Dixon addressed Pence directly, reading a statement on behalf of the cast: “We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf all of us. All of us.”
